Holy moley – £5.50 for a BBQ burger it better be good!
Luckily it is / was.
Bristol zoo have a rather funky outdoor firepit BBQ where they cook these massive (IO’m guessing 8oz) burgers fresh.
Served with a soft white bun only a couple of hours old and some fresh fried onion and there’s something simple and somehow british about this burger variant.
The burger itself I don’t believe was 100%, had that taste of pork you used to get with school burgers, but it was dense, juicy and delicious all the same.
Would buy again just because it was so big and tastey and tbh probably worth the price!
