Double Smash Cheeseburger, Nicebites, Chester Market

Chester has recently renovated their indoor market.

The place is now a mix of stalls by day and a food hall by night with a really modern take on food market / food festival eating.

In the centre is a lot of communal tables and chairs and long benches with a long bar at one end and then surrounded by independent food stores.

You simply get your drinks sit down in the middle and then go up to whichever food store you wish to purchase from pay your money and you then given a buzzer so you can go and sit down drink and then go and get your food when it’s ready, which is absolutely brilliant if you’ve all ordered different things.

My two main loves in life are seafood and burgers and I was delighted to see that there was a seafood shack and a really cool looking smashburger place called a Nicebites.

I went for as close to a standard cheeseburger as possible and this was a double smash burger with cheese and I’m happy to report the actually it was pretty incredible.

Each smashburger was caramelised and sticky and crunchy in all the right ways, the bun was incredibly soft and delicious, and rich and the cheese was gooey and moreish.

There was also some lettuce and a delicious smokey relish.

Everything came out in about 10-minutes all cooked superfresh and you could see that the three guys who were running the place, who I assume were the owners, clearly loved everything about making and selling smash burgers.

I obviously go to Chester quite a lot and this will be an instant cop every time I’m there from now on.
