Work flew me out to Malta for a meeting and luckily I was able to get a lovely room in the very plush Hilton well within budget.
Time was super tight so no time for sight seeing, after landing and catching up on emails my belly was rumbling so of course i reached for the menu in the hope to find a big burger, and a big burger I did find!
At €17.50 it was definitely on the high end of burger pricing but… Its a hotel… Its a hilton… Plus I fully intended to expense it.
The burger came with some lovely crispy fries, ketchup and mayo and of course the behemoth burger itself.
A seeded bun (rare these days), streaky bacon, fried onions, lettuce, tomato and of course a giant hulk of a burger.
I actually prefer smaller patties, they stay juicier but a big meaty steak burger does usually at least FEEL healthier.
It was of course over cooked and there was no crispy outside or anything, a shame as really would have elevated the Angus beef.
However, that’s not to say it wasn’t a great burger.
